Emily joined the Smarty Pants team in early 2021 after 12 years at PRS IN VIVO, a behavioral science-based shopper insights firm. Her career at PRS IN VIVO started as an analyst in New Jersey and concluded as a senior director covering Asia Pacific. Along the way, she helped launch offices and run operations in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore.

In each of her roles at PRS IN VIVO, Emily applied her behavioral and shopper expertise to support brands in the CPG (snacks, dairy and personal care), retail and healthcare/pharma industries. Her work helped to identify levers and touchpoints for improving outcomes for shoppers, consumers and clients. At Smarty Pants, she applies those same talents.

Prior to PRS IN VIVO, Emily interned at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), spent time as a high school Spanish teacher, and worked as an assistant to the Dean of Students at the University of Texas at El Paso.

Emily was also a graduate assistant at Arizona State University, where she earned her MBA with specializations in international business and strategic marketing. She graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Studies from The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Emily’s curious and adventurous spirit have taken her from the Jersey shore, where she was born and raised, to her current location in the bustling, multicultural city-state of Singapore. She will return to the sun and sand (at least the desert form) when she relocates to Arizona later in 2021.

On weekends, you can find Emily hiking or cooling off from the Southeast Asian sun in the pool with her husband, children and loyal dachshund.  When no one is listening, you might also hear her practicing the bagpipes!
