Why do we need a Summit on Boys? Well…boys are not okay. Data shows that boys aren’t doing their best. Experts have begun to sound the alarm about boys’ declining wellbeing. As leaders in youth research who have studied kids for the past 25+ years, the Smarty Pants team is eager to share and learn – from experts and kids themselves – about the dynamics impacting boys today.
So, let’s get together and talk about it. We are excited to invite you to think alongside Smarty Pants during our first Summit on Boys. On November 14, 2023, Smarty Pants will host a virtual event bringing together child development experts and the world’s leading youth and family brands – to spark conversation and generate ideas about how our products, content and marketing strategies can impact and improve boys’ lives and sense of self.

The Summit on Boys will include a Boys’ State of the Union presentation from Smarty Pants executives, a fireside chat with author and scholar Richard Reeves, an interdisciplinary panel of experts, a candid conversation with boys’ themselves, as well as small group sessions designed to spark conversation and generate ideas about how products, content and marketing strategies can impact and improve boys’ lives and sense of self.
